Last minute goal keeps Canaries alive

A 90th minute penalty at the Rioch Arena could have saved Norwich City’s Championship status last night!

Elliot Ward stepped up and converted an equaliser from the spot in stoppage time last night to give Coventry a 1-1 draw at home to Norwich’s nearest rivals Barnsley.

Had Barnsley won, Norwich would have been 4 points below them, and three points behind fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest with just two games to go.

However, the last gasp goal meant that Barnsley now lead the Canaries by just 2 points. So all is still alive!

Barnsley and Nottingham Forest play this weekend, whilst Norwich entertain Reading on Monday evening. All could de decided come that game, but HOPEFULLY Norwich will go to Charlton the following weekend, with staying-up a realistic possibility.

i think this will be a nail-biter and go down to the last game of the season at the valley. There Norwich will secure championship status.
